Yeah after more research i came to the conclusion it would make more sense to buy a radio that’s just a radio and look for a portable speakerphone / or speaker combo. Even if i bought one of the Ihome models that has a spekerphone built in, it would still only work in the area i plug it in. A portable one can be moved from apartment to car to office easily. Now i just have to decide if i should buy a speakerphone only like the model you linked, or one that doubles as a wireless speaker as well.

I’m curious on others opinions on whether to go for a dedicated speaker phone or a combo model. I do cost estimating in construction, and i know that sometimes the expectation of what you can get people to pay for something is weighed heavier than what it actually costs to make / install it. A $2 duplex receptacle from home depot can cost $100 bucks to install in a residential project, and $200 in a commercial project. Just slap the label “commercial Grade” on it and double the price. The dedicated speakerphones seem to be marketed towards the business crowd who might be expensing them to the company, so they might be able to get more than a bluetooth speaker targeted towards the average consumer. I know the Plantronics, and Sennheiser models are over $100 whereas you can get an amazon basics combo device for $40, or a Jabra Solemate for around $60.

Sure, how about this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JZVPGD6/ref=twister_B00K367Q6C?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 $49.99

I think the blue looks great.

I actually recieved a free Bose soundlink ii and a pair of Bose quietcomfort15 headphones at a golf tournament. Both are great products. I wouldn’t be caught dead with a Bose htib though lol.
