I got the waterproof Amazon Basics one. I’ve been really pleasantly surprised by it. It’s quite a bit louder than I expected. It’s not going to win any prizes for sound quality, but I don’t have any complaints with it, either. Definitely worth it for $10.

This is what I’m getting for the debug mode output. Before I recorded the video, I was able to get some VERY choppy audio output from the “hello.mp3” file.
As for the speaker, I am using this one. I did everything regarding connection to the Pi via the GUI. First, I paired it with the Pi as per the instructions for the speaker. Then, once it was connected, I right-clicked on the volume icon in the taskbar and clicked on the speaker to select it as the audio output.
