The speakers arrived today. They sound fantastic. I have been using cheap, tiny speakers for years, and the clarity I get from the Swans is amazing. I can hear a lot of things that I didn’t hear before in music I have been listening to for years and years. And it’s not always a good thing to realize the performers are out of tune!
I installed Equalizer APO 1.1.2 and used your DSP correction file. I think the those adjustments have been applied because when I open the Configuation Editor, your DSP corrections show up. But I’m not sure.
There is a hiss when the speakers are on. I can only hear it if my ear is close to the speaker or if I turn the volume all the way up when very quiet music is playing (like the end of the Adagio in Mahler’s 9th Symphony).
I got freaked out when they started making a loud buzzing noise, but that turned out to be electrical interference from the audio cable from the speakers to my computer touching a bunch of other cables. Just moving the cable away from them solved that problem.
