You can buy a Cherry Mx board for <50$ from a Korean manufacturer keep an eye out for those.

that might be a good idea, didn’t know that was a thing.
the ones i found were for example those in the wiki, which are mostly close to 100$ and i’m not sure if that’s worth it. and they all have stuff like backlighting, which i don’t care about and i wonder if i could go cheaper without it (for ex. this).
then there are other random ones from amazon which are cheaper but i’m not sure about the quality, for example this, this or this. there’s also this which looks quite nice but seems to be shitty judging by the reviews.
