Near impossible without software/firmware devices in between. Timing requirements limit total length of USB, IIRC roughly 30 meters (edit: may be 100m), and that would be with active repeaters or USB over Ethernet. Something like this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002VK8MPC/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_1?pf_rd_p=1944687562&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000OH5MDO&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0BHCG9XQ31PQCRJ7JM1J#customerReviews may be worth a shot.

They’re all over ebay. I still can’t find the enterprise versions… But they’re usually rack-mount and you can Log into them and remotely control just about anything. I even saw a place that let you remote into a damn to open and close it once.
