They don’t really. This is the only affordable one I could find. The typical heating pads you use at home with a regular outlet plugs don’t work in my car. I guess there’s not enough voltage to power them idk. This one works well enough, but it’s nothing to write home about. It serves to keep the bottom of the food hot at least and will raise the overall temp in the bag a few degrees if it’s on long enough.

Man, you need to look at better hot bags. A pizza should be piping hot after a 20 minute drive if it’s in a good hot bag.
